Boarding & Grooming Policies

Our establishment agrees to exercise due and reasonable care to board and/or groom the dog for the owner, and to keep the premises sanitary and properly enclosed. Your dog will be fed, watered regularly, and housed in safe, clean quarters.

The services we provide are done so without liability for loss or damage from injury or damage done by your pet to people, other animals or property, or other unavoidable causes.

Should any pet become ill or need medical attention, we reserve the right to administer aid and to render care by your local designated veterinarian, if available, or by our kennel veterinarian or an emergency veterinarian office. Any expenses incurred, being reasonable in amount, shall be paid promptly by the owner.

The owner  must supply enough food for the entire stay. If the pet runs out of food before being picked up, the owner will be charged $3 per day for kennel food. Food should be individually bagged in ziplock bags for each feeding, am & pm. NO LARGE bags of food should be brought unless the dog will be boarded for more than 5 days. In that case, food should be in a sealed container.

No pet will be released until all charges are paid in full or other arrangements satisfactory to our kennel have been made. The customer agrees to notify us in advance if there is any change in the pet pick-up date. Any pet left uncalled for seven days from the scheduled date of pickup, as noted herein, shall become the property of the kennel, and may be sold or disposed of.

If unable to make a scheduled appointment, please give 24 hours' notice to give clients on the wait list the opportunity to receive services.  No-shows and last-minute cancellations will be charged 50% of the booking fee. No shows and repeat cancellations will be required to pay a 50% non-refundable deposit before booking their next appointment. (Deposit will go towards final bill) Customers that arrive more than 15 minutes past the appointment time will be considered no shows.

If fleas or ticks are discovered on your dog, we will immediately give a flea bath to reduce the risk of parasite transmission. An extra fee will be applied to the bill to cover the cost of the special shampoo and treatment of the facility.

Grooming appointments should not be dropped off more than 10 minutes before their scheduled appointment time and should be picked up within 30 minutes of being notified that they are ready unless prior arrangements are made. Late pick-ups may incur a charge.

Boarding drop off and pick up is by appointment. Pets should be dropped off and picked up at their scheduled time.

Hard to handle, aggressive, destructive, etc. dogs may incur additional charges. If a second kennel is required to safely board a dog aggressive dog, owner will be charged for the extra kennel space.  If a dog is aggressive in a way that may cause harm to itself, another dog, the groomer or staff member, the groom will be stopped, or boarding will be cancelled. The emergency contact and owner will be notified, and prompt arrangements must be made to pick up the dog. Charges will apply.

Multiple Dogs Kenneled together: To have your dogs kenneled together, they must also be able to be fed in the same kennel and avoid conflict over toys, water, treats, bedding, and food. Dogs receiving medications will not be housed together. It is at the discretion of the kennel staff to assign separate kennels and charge accordingly.

Terms and conditions for which a senior/medically compromised dog will be accepted for boarding: Boarding and/or grooming senior and medically compromised dogs can cause stress that can exaggerate or expose new problems or even lead to a serious medical event or even death. Mental and behavioral changes can occur in senior dogs or dogs with medical conditions when they are stressed. If the groomer/staff member sees that a senior or medically compromised dog is stressed or having difficulty, the groom will be stopped, or boarding canceled immediately. Emergency contact and owner will be contacted, and plans will be made to pick the dog immediately. Charges will apply.

All dogs in the kennel for boarding and grooming must be up to date on rabies and DHPP. Records from your vet must be on file prior to drop off.
